Whenever and wherever disaster strikes, Jewish Federation is there to help. Funds collected through emergency campaigns go directly to help victims and their families through our long-standing partners the Joint Distribution Committee  (JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel  (JAFI).

Joint Distribution Committee
The JDC is Jewish Federation’s long-standing partner providing non-sectarian humanitarian aid worldwide. It is the largest international Jewish humanitarian assistance organization in the world, and brings nearly 100 years of unparalleled experience to rescue and relief efforts. Through its International Development Program the JDC provides immediate and long-term assistance to victims of natural and manmade disasters in more than 70 countries.countries.

Jewish Agency for Israel
JAFI serves as a first responder to crises in the Jewish world. Within 24 hours of Israel’s devastating Carmel fire in 2010, JAFI was on the scene providing emergency shelter and support, counseling, and respite activities for children. JAFI relieved tension for thousands of children in the disaster zone by moving them to unaffected areas, and by providing food, shelter and respite activities on a daily basis.
