Our Impact in Israel

 

How do we ensure long-term economic and social stability for Jews living overseas and in Israel? By funding much-needed programs that provide a safety net for our most vulnerable people. These specialized programs, funded in part by Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver through the Federation Annual Campaign, touch the lives of at-risk youth, impoverished seniors and those living in economically fragile areas.

Beit Vancouver
Already a successful youth centre that engages 65% young people living in Kiryat Shmona, Beit Vancouver has evolved to become not only a physical building but a network of communities sharing services. Instead of residents only coming to Beit Vancouver to take part in programs, the centre is going into neighbourhoods and tailoring its services to the specific needs of residents. More...
