Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day

Online Commemorative Program

Monday, April 20, 2020 at 4 PM 

 

While we are disappointed that our community will not have the opportunity to come together in-person to commemorate Yom HaShoah this year, we have joined with communities across the country for an unprecedented opportunity to bring a meaningful moment of remembrance to the people of British Columbia. On Monday, April 20, 2020, at 4 pm PST we will join together, from coast to coast, for an online Holocaust Remembrance Day presentation. The program will include greetings from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, curated films with survivor testimony, musical performances, and prayers. The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre is honoured to be one of the contributing organizations. There will also be participatory elements so you can contribute to the program from your home.
