Swimming targets every main muscle group and the magic of buoyancy provides additional support for the body, making it an ideal exercise for seniors.
Waterworks Aquatic Therapy: Warm water provides a relaxing and soothing environment for aching joints and muscles. Water's natural viscosity or resistance can be used for muscle strengthening and injury rehabilitation. The Peretz Centre is a community of both Jewish and non-Jewish individuals and families interested in deepening their understanding of, and connection to, Jewish culture, values, and traditions. It provides an alternative, secular humanist approach to Jewish life through the appreciation of Jewish history and culture within the context of world history, and through the celebration of Jewish traditions. Doors are open to people of diverse cultures, beliefs, genders and sexual orientation.
The Peretz Centre realizes the lessons of Jewish history through our heritage of Yiddish values and culture –the heart of East-Central European and early North American Jewish life– while recognizing Modern Hebrew as the language of Israel. All gatherings are inclusive and are conducted in English, with the addition of Yiddish and Hebrew texts.
