Summer Registration is now open for Birthright Israel

It’s February, it’s raining and it’s gloomy outsidein other words, it’s a typical Vancouver winter day. Who wouldn’t be dreaming about a summer adventure in a warm, sunny place?

If you’re a young Jewish adult aged 18 to 32, you’re in luck. You could have a free, life-changing experience in Israel this summer on a Birthright Israel trip.

Birthright Israel provides the gift of an educational trip to Israel to young adults, free of charge. For more than two decades, Jewish Federations, the Israeli government and leading Jewish philanthropists have partnered together to cover the cost of these trips. This unique partnership enables participants from across Canadaand the worldto experience a whirlwind 10 days of activities, sightseeing and immersion in Jewish culture, history and identity. It’s an opportunity to re-kindle or unearth your connection to Israel and Judaism with peers from your own backyard or around the world, and to make memories and friendships that will endure long after the trip ends.

Birthright Israel is one of the many important initiatives that is funded through the Federation Annual Campaign. In the last five years alone, some 600 young Jewish adultsabout 150 each yearfrom across BC have enjoyed this wonderful experience. This year, for the first time, there will be a Birthright Israel trip departing directly from Vancouver (the majority of trips depart from Toronto and Montreal).

Registration for spring/summer 2020 trips is now open. Don’t miss this opportunity of a lifetime!
