A Story of Legacy and Choices

When Dr. Gillian Presner’s life took an unexpected turn, she was forced to re-evaluate her priorities. Today, she is determined to live her values every day, and at FEDtalks she will offer hard-earned wisdom about the power of community and the nature of our true legacies.

“There’s no point in waiting around for things,” she says. “Do what you can… and make what you do matter now.”

Through Jewish Federation, Dr. Presner has found a meaningful way to give back and make a lasting difference. She is a member of Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet, an elite leadership training program for people ages 30-45.

Cabinet provides a rigorous, multi-year curriculum designed to enrich and strengthen a young adult’s capacity for leadership. It’s the only Jewish leadership program where members are given a chance to put these skills into action with hands-on global service opportunities and work with local and national leaders.

As Dr. Presner’s experience demonstrates, engaging the next generation is essential to develop the future leaders of our community. Axis is our innovative platform for young adults to connect and develop their leadership skills. This year we have an unbeatable offer to further engage our community’s young adults. Thanks to a generous donor, we’re giving away 100 free tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Register here to claim yours today! Share this with the young adults in your life and encourage them to attend. What’s better than free?
