Centre for Young Adults

Based in Kiryat Shmona, Israel, the Centre for Young Adults serves the entire Upper Galilee region. It is a one-stop shop that assists young adults in accessing resources for higher education, and volunteer and job opportunities. Its goal? To help young adults make social connections and build careers while strengthening their ties to the Upper Galilee Panhandle.

Ensuring that strong populations live in the county’s periphery is critical to Israel’s success and security. The Centre helps young adults meet their full potential and realize their personal aspirations close to home, which is especially important in isolated communities like Kiryat Shmona, among immigrants and with socio-economically disadvantaged populations.

Since 2010, the program has operated through the Partnership2Gether initiative - or P2G - in the Galilee Panhandle region in the city of Kiryat Shmona, in small towns and in Kibbutzim and Moshavim near the Lebanese border.

The Centre for Young Adults provides a wide range of services and programming, including:

  • Individual guidance for higher education and vocational training;
  • Job seeking, job readiness and workplace advancement skills;
  • Life skills, such as money management and housing advice;
  • Social involvement and volunteer projects, encouraging participants to enhance their growth by giving to, and taking leadership roles in their local communities.
