Developing our community’s capacity through Axis Leadership Lab

The Axis Leadership Lab program was initiated by Jewish Federation in 2014 as an investment in nurturing the leadership potential of young adults in our community.

The program provides an opportunity for Jews, aged 24 – 35, to:

  • Develop leadership skills through interactive and hands-on experiences;
  • Uncover leadership values that are uniquely Jewish;
  • Enhance awareness of their personal leadership styles;
  • Apply leadership skills by contributing to our Jewish community;
  • Learn and network with peers, community leaders, and educators; and
  • Participate in significant and high impact community and volunteer opportunities.

Over eight scheduled sessions, participants will enjoy personal and professional growth, while contributing to the development of a vibrant, young Jewish community in Metro Vancouver. The sessions will include visits to Federation community partners and opportunities to engage with Jewish philanthropists, professionals and business leaders on subjects ranging from public speaking and networking, to change management. Each participant will take a personal leadership assessment and work with a team to develop and implement a community-based fundraising project.

The program is subsidized by Jewish Federation, so registration costs only $90, which includes course materials and dinner for all eight sessions Space is limited, so click here for session information and to apply now. Applications close on January 7, 2015.
